Repatriation and Remediation
PCVC believes that the best place for a child to grow is within her/his family/ community. Upon rescuing children from vulnerable situations, they are re-united with family which provides them the opportunity of not only going back to schooling but also living in a safe environment, away from the harsh working life in the cities. Many children who come from disturbed families and unfortunate backgrounds, do not wish to return. These are seen through the strategy of remediation which enables them to sustain in a child-friendly environment through various referral programs and Government led interventions.
Interventions: –
- Tracking rescued and repatriated children to ensure that they sustain in villages and their home. Regular follow-up is maintained so that these children are mainstreamed back into the education net
- Multiple Activity Centres (MACs) facilitates Education and Child Rights based activities under one roof along with Extra-curricular activities like Music and Dance to help children realise their full potential
